Many artists may be getting more exposure and fans now have the chance to discover new artists in a way previously not possible but the bottom line is that the income received is decreasing at a rapid rate.
With the rise of streaming, digital downloads are dying a rapid death and the past year has seen the number of downloads decline at a rate which is over double that at which CD sales are dropping.
