In this section we have posted some of the common questions that we get asked and you may have when thinking about using our services. Of course this section will not cover everything so please do get in touch with us if you have any questions that are not listed..

I Don't Know What I Need... HELP!

Do not panic!

Our team are all fully trained and have extensive knowledge of our products. With their hands on experience in the industry, they will know exactly what will give you the best results, whilst making sure we are within your budget.

From providing a one speaker system to link up to a car for a romantic to propose to providing a full staging, crowd barriers and PA solution for Jedwood we know what we are doing.

Even if you have no technical knowledge or are a technophobe then we will be able to assist you and explain exactly what will work best. Our advice is totally free and all of our staff are very friendly and easy to chat to.

If you want to come into our warehouse and have a look at the products in action then we are more than happy to make you a cuppa from our lovely coffee machine.

How DO I Make A Booking?

Making a booking is a very simple process:

1) Decide which kit and services you require. If you are not sure give us a call on 020 3333 4444 or use this form to contact us and we will give you the best advice.

2) Complete the hire form which can be found here. To help us give you the best quote possible please make sure you include as much information as possible.

3) Sit back and relax! One of our friendly team will get back to you with a quote via e-mail. All you need to do is read through the quote and confirm that the information is correct and as required.

4) As soon as you have made the deposit payment to confirm you booking we will pop you over an e-mail to let you know the kit and services are reserved ready for you.

What ID and deposits are required?

When hiring from London Speaker Hire you will need to provide three forms of identification.

The first ID must be a UK passport which will be held for the duration of the hire. The other two forms of ID needs to be a utility bill or bank statement with your name and address on it. Unfortunately we are unable to accept mobile phone bills.

These ID's will be returned to you upon the return of the equipment.

When hiring equipment we will take a copy of your credit or debit card for authorisation (it will need to be in the same name as your identification). No money will be charged to it but a check will be run to make sure it is a valid card.

For corporate hires please speak to one of our team on 020 3333 4444 who will be happy to run through the requirements.

How can I pay?

To make it as easy as possible for you to pay, you can use our secure online payment system (which can be found here) any time of the day or night. This system allows you to pay by debit or credit card as well as by PayPal.

If you would like to pay by bank transfer then please give us a call on 020 3333 4444. Unfortunately we are unable to accept cheques or cash payments.

Where can I get insurance from?

If you do not have insurance to cover your event then there are many organisations that can assist you with one off policies. One such company is Events Insurance. Events Insurance are not affiliated with London Speaker Hire and we are just providing this as a helpful link.

When requesting insurance please do let us know before you get in touch with the companies and we can give you a total insurable cost for equipment and services.

Where can I get instructions, manuals and videos from?

All the available manuals for our products can be found on the Full Kit List page which can be accessed from the top menu.

Browse to the product that you require the manual for. Underneath you will find three icons. One for the manual, one for the manufacturers product page and the last for a video of the product. Simply click on the appropriate icon.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view the manuals.

Can you deliver/collect the equipment from me?

Yes no problems at all. Our rates are very competitive and start from just £15 + vat.

When using our transport service there must be adequate parking at the destination for a vehicle (we will advise of the size at the time of booking). If we are required to park for a period of time then the cost of parking will need to be covered or permits provided.

As with all companies in our industry, if any fines are incurred whist delivering or collecting equipment and adequate parking was unavailable then the fine will be the responsibility of the hirer.

Our collection and delivery service is to the road side. If you require the equipment to be moved or set up then this is a separate service which needs to be booked and paid for prior to the hire.

Can you set up the equipment for me?

We are more than happy to set up the equipment for you. If you just want it connected we can provide this service or should you need a DJ or sound engineer for the entire event then we can assist with this.

All the service are flexible and will be made to fit around your needs. Prices for a sound engineer start from as little as £20 per hour with deals for set periods of time.
